East LA Meets Napa

Pairing hors d’oeuvres with fine wines, “East LA Meets Napa” is a unique event that celebrates the richness of Mexican food and the success of Latino-owned vineyards in California.
The event features food stations sponsored by Los Angeles area restaurants and wine stations by California vineyards. Guests will combine their favorite foods with distinctive wine to discover their own perfect blend. All proceeds from the wine tasting benefit AltaMed.
Join Us For Our Special Book Release Party at El Cholo
AltaMed is proud to present it's second publication, In Their Own Words II, written by Sergio C Muñoz, Jr. You are invited to join us for the book release party on July 19th at El Cholo. The book features the stories of Latino restaurant families and chefs in Southern California. El Cholo, Pasadena, one of the families featured in the book, will host a private VIP event at their restaurant complete with food, wine and music. The event will highlight the release of the publication and include a brief program that will feature a reading, and remarks from AltaMed and the writer, Sergio C Muñoz, Jr. along with the owners of El Cholo, Pasadena.
