AltaMed: Quality Care Without Exception

Message From the AltaMed Foundation President

AltaMed’s Development Department implemented a plan in 1987 to form the AtlaMed Foundation. The Foundation’s mandate was to serve as the key volunteer leadership body for AltaMed’s fundraising efforts. Since then, the AltaMed Foundation has successfully raised nearly $15 million to support AltaMed in its mission to increase access to comprehensive health and human services for the medically underserved communities of Southern California. The Foundation also works to:

• support the medical, health, and social service programs administered by AltaMed by raising funds and resources
• promote greater understanding and support in the community of AltaMed’s role and resource needs by organizing special activities and events
• preserve and enhance the long-term value of permanent endowments on behalf of AltaMed, and
• engage in activities that promote or accomplish the aforementioned purposes.

As we enter a new era in of continued challenges in health care, the continued support of our community partners is essential to AltaMed’s ability to increase its capacity to serve more families in the coming years. We are thankful to our Board of Trustees, donors and volunteers for their commitment to providing quality care without exception to the men, women, and children in Southern California.
